LIPOELASTIC is one of the two largest post-surgical compression garment makers worldwide. JSK Investments, as majority owner, will support its expansion
The investment fund JSK Investments SICAV a.s., led by Simona Kijonková, is closing its largest transaction to date. Through its sub-fund Private & Growth Equity Fund I, it is acquiring a majority stake in LIPOELASTIC, a leading global manufacturer of post-surgical compression garments. The company was founded in 2002 in Valašské Meziříčí by Alena and Tomáš Hradil, who built it into a global brand ranking among the best in the industry. Today it is present in more than 75 countries worldwide, generates consolidated revenues of over CZK 600 million, and becomes the largest company in the fund’s portfolio. Angee Capital, the family investment group of Jan and Radka Rozlivka, will also take part in the transaction as a minority co-investor. LIPOELASTIC’s management will also become a co-owner of the company.

“LIPOELASTIC is an exceptional Czech family business story. More than twenty years ago, Alena and Tomáš Hradil started out in Valašské Meziříčí making stockings for varicose veins, and they built a company whose products today help patients recovering from surgery in 75 countries around the world. These are exactly the kinds of stories we want to support. It is our largest investment to date and also a key step in our strategy. In healthcare, we are moving from infrastructure to the manufacture of medical products. With its excellent products and in-house production, LIPOELASTIC also enters foreign markets directly through its own subsidiaries – the same model on which Alensa grew. Thanks to our experience in e-commerce, B2C and logistics, we can help the company grow even faster and enter further foreign markets. I look forward to working with the entire LIPOELASTIC team,” says Simona Kijonková, Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Investment Officer of JSK Investments SICAV a.s.
LIPOELASTIC manufactures premium post-surgical compression garments that help patients recover after surgical procedures. In recent years, the company has also focused on compression garments for women with lipedema and on preventive compression for everyday wear, sport and travel, which helps prevent swelling and the feeling of heavy legs. Production takes place in Valašské Meziříčí and in Púchov, Slovakia. The company ranks among the two largest brands in its field worldwide and builds on quality, the heritage of a European brand and a personal approach to customers.
“We started in Valašské Meziříčí with stockings for varicose veins and with the conviction that even a small Czech company can make a product trusted by surgeons and patients around the world. Today, people all over the world wear our garments, and we rank among the two largest brands globally. None of this would have been possible without the people who built LIPOELASTIC with us day after day. They deserve our greatest thanks. Handing over a company we have been building for more than twenty years is not an easy decision. But in JSK Investments we have found a partner who knows how to turn a strong Czech brand into a global player, while preserving what LIPOELASTIC stands for: quality, honest craftsmanship and a personal approach to customers,” say Alena and Tomáš Hradil, the founders of LIPOELASTIC.
The acquisition of LIPOELASTIC fits directly into the investment strategy of JSK Investments SICAV a.s., which connects healthcare, e-commerce and logistics. The company gains a strategic partner with extensive experience in building international online businesses. The aim of the partnership is to expand into further markets, develop the product portfolio and streamline processes, especially in logistics.
“With JSK Investments, we are gaining a partner who understands e-commerce and logistics and shares our emphasis on quality. LIPOELASTIC has strong foundations, production in Europe and customers all over the world. Now is the time to use these foundations for further growth – in existing markets, in new markets and in new products. For our employees and customers, nothing fundamental changes in day-to-day operations – the same team, the same production and the same emphasis on quality remain,” adds Petr Remeš, CEO of LIPOELASTIC.
LIPOELASTIC’s management and Angee For Capital of Jan and Radka Rozlivka are joining the company as minority shareholders, bringing strategic experience in logistics and fulfilment.
“Our investment strategy is to enter into majority partnerships. We enter companies as the majority owner, but we build them together with people who bring high added value and ideally know them well. That is why we are pleased that members of the management and Angee For Capital of Jan and Radka Rozlivka will also become co-owners of LIPOELASTIC. Shared ownership means shared responsibility and shared ambition, and that is the best foundation for further growth,” says Jakub Čížek, Chief Investment Officer of the Private & Growth Equity sub-fund of JSK Investments SICAV a.s.
Following IPRICE, Bestberg, Primaria and Evalon, LIPOELASTIC becomes the fifth portfolio company of the JSK Investments Private & Growth Equity Fund I sub-fund. The sub-fund is intended for qualified investors and has a target size of EUR 100 million. As part of its further development, the fund also plans to cooperate with other qualified investors who share the long-term investment strategy of JSK Investments.
“LIPOELASTIC appealed to us with its high-quality product, the international reach of its brand and, above all, its strong management with a clear vision for further development. We want to be an active co-owner, support the management and together create the conditions for further growth, with respect for what Alena and Tomáš Hradil have built. We are also very pleased to partner with Simona Kijonková and the JSK Investments team, with whom we share a view of business and an emphasis on fair relationships. We believe that together we can write another successful chapter in the LIPOELASTIC story,” say Jan and Radka Rozlivka, founders of Angee Capital.
The Hradil family was represented in the transaction by Roklen Corporate Finance, whose advisory team was led by Jakub Burda and Adam Tománek with the support of Klára Polanská and Jan Mokrejš. Legal advice to the family was provided by the law firm Kocián Šolc Balaštík, led by Martin Krejčí and Josef Kříž. The buyer was represented by GT Legal, whose legal team was led by Lukáš Zahrádka, Michaela Horváthová and David Fabián. Given the international structure of the LIPOELASTIC group, GT Legal’s mandate also included coordinating foreign legal advisers and overseeing the overall legal agenda of the transaction, including acquisition financing, across all relevant jurisdictions. Financial and tax advice on the transaction was provided by Grant Thornton teams, and ČSOB bank participated in financing the transaction. Angee Capital was represented by Tomáš Petržela of Tarpan Partners and Luděk Skoupil of Tarpan Legal.
The parties have decided not to disclose the transaction price.
