JSK Investments Enters American Startup iSono Health Aiming to Make Smart Breast Screening Accessible to Women Worldwide
JSK Investments Group, led by Simona Kijonková, has invested in the American startup iSono Health, the company behind ATUSA™, the world’s first fully automated, portable, and wearable 3D breast ultrasound system. The technology enables women around the globe to undergo quick and easy preventive breast screening, even in regions with limited medical infrastructure. Each year, more than 2 million new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed worldwide, and early detection significantly increases the chances of survival.

The ATUSA™ system is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and allows physicians to review images on any internet-connected device. With advanced 3D tissue visualization, it facilitates the identification of lesions and accelerates diagnosis. The technology combines wearable hardware with intuitive software that automatically captures and analyzes ultrasound images. The entire exam takes just two minutes. ATUSA™ is designed for use in hospitals, radiology centers, and even home environments.
“I firmly believe we should be grateful for the high-quality healthcare system we have in the Czech Republic, because that’s not a given even in developed countries like the United States. Each year, around 7,000 women in the Czech Republic are diagnosed with breast cancer, and early detection increases the chance of recovery to more than 90%. I’d like to appeal to all women in the Czech Republic: after the age of 45, you are entitled to a preventive mammogram every two years. Take advantage of the fact that we have prevention and healthcare at such a high level,” says Simona Kijonková, Founder and Managing Partner of JSK Investments.
iSono Health received the Frost & Sullivan 2023 United States New Product Innovation Award for its groundbreaking approach to automated breast ultrasound. In the first half of 2025, the company closed a ~USD 5 million funding round and launched a NIH-funded clinical study to validate its AI technology. With this investment, JSK Investments joins a group of investors led by Draper Associates and Transform VC.
“We are thrilled to have JSK Investments as a strong European partner and greatly value this collaboration. We share a common mission to make breast screening accessible, fast, and powered by advanced technology for women everywhere. This is a deeply meaningful and personal mission, and a beautiful symbol of collaboration between two women led companies,” says Neda Razavi, CEO of iSono Health.
The investment in iSono Health is managed by Petra Cihlářová, Investment Manager at JSK, responsible for the Venture Capital division.
“Healthcare is an industry where we see tremendous potential. The investment in iSono Health also marks our first investment in a U.S. based company. For us, the founders’ story is always key and in this case, iSono Health was founded by two women who sadly lost a close family member due to late detection of breast cancer,” says Petra Cihlářová, who currently oversees the entire startup portfolio at JSK.
