JSK Investments SICAV a.s. invests in US startup Andromeda Surgical, developer of an autonomous surgical platform

Andromeda Surgical was founded in San Francisco in 2023 by Nick Damiano and Kartik Tiwari, who met through Y Combinator's Co-Founder Matching. Damiano brings experience developing healthcare technologies, while Tiwari brings a background in autonomous vehicles. The two fields come together in the development of the autonomous surgical platform.

The company's initial focus is HoLEP, a specialized urological procedure. The platform is designed to shorten surgeon training time and allow hospitals to offer specialized procedures even without a narrowly focused expert on site. Andromeda is already entering its commercial phase and will use the Series A capital primarily for regulatory processes, manufacturing and deployment of commercial units, and further development of autonomous features.
